My Medea

May 25th, 2012 by Bekah Brunstetter

Now that I’ve officially given birth to the Oregon Trail, and it exists in the world that I may shape and rear it – I’m happy to announce my next project: A NEW MEDEA ADAPTION! I’ve been commissioned by my friend’s theater company to pen it. I was hesitant at first, as I’m usually not drawn to stories that aren’t contemporary. But after pouring through a bunch of Medea translations, I’ve realized that my previous statement is completely idiotic. All stories are in someway contemporary. All of them, and so, I introduce to you, my Medea: Casey Anthony. Or something like her. Or something like that. Something with how now our murderers turn into celebrities. But with choral odes. COMING SOON!
